The Coach
Byron Ruvalcaba is not your average trainer. A former Team Canada linebacker and Canadian National Football Team representative, Byron has lived the demands of elite sport — and now he channels that experience into building the next generation of athletes at Genuine Athletics.
With over 5 years of coaching experience, including time as a high school football coach, Byron has trained countless university and high school athletes in the disciplines that matter most: raw strength, explosive speed, and the kind of vertical power that separates good athletes from great ones.
Byron's commitment to elite performance extends beyond the football field. He has completed multiple marathons, half marathons, and a full Ironman triathlon — proving that his understanding of athletic endurance, mental toughness, and physical preparation is not theoretical. He has tested himself at the highest levels of endurance sport and brings that same relentless mindset to every athlete he coaches.
